Learning objectives

  • To confidently use performance management techniques to develop the whole team using the Performance Management Cycle.

  • To use Performance Improvement Plans to support team members appropriately to manage both under or over performers.

  • To fairly and successfully manage underperformers through a formal performance management process.

Methodology

After each eLearning course, there is a 2-hour masterclass to cement learning and provide an opportunity for participants to practice skills to bridge the gap between learning and application of skills in the work role. 

Learning structure

  • Weeks 1 - 2 Course - Introduction to the Performance Management Cycle

  • Week 3 Interactive facilitator-led masterclass 2 hours

  • Weeks 5-6 Course - Using Performance Improvement Plans

  • Week 7 Interactive facilitator led masterclass 2 hours

  • Weeks 8-9 Course - Formal Performance Management

  • Week 10 Interactive facilitator-led masterclass 2 hours

  • Week 11 Revision all courses (participants)

  • End week 11 access to course content closed
